The King Blues (Punk Rock Puppet Orchestra + full gig)
38 MINUTES is a punk rock puppet opera written by Jonny 'Itch' Fox based on the events in Hawaii on Saturday the 13th January 2018.
On this morning, a false alert was sent out in error, saying: "Imminent missile threat inbound to Hawaii. Seek immediate shelter. This is not a drill." For 38 Minutes, the people of Hawaii were forced to face certain death. These are some of their stories.
The opera will be animated live with paper puppetry from Rebecca Lightbody, alongside live orchestration by The King Blues and storytelling by Itch.
The opera will be followed by a full THE KING BLUES concert in the intimate setting of The Underworld. This is a rare chance to see a very special event.
Hawaiian shirts optional.
This is a 14+ event (under 16s must be accompanied by an adult).
