Live Nation Presents

Grayscale

Sick Joy

Philly alt rock mainstays Grayscale have released their fourth studio album and most time and labor-intensive project to date, The Hart, available to stream now on all DSPs worldwide. The album covers addiction, death, losing their religion and finding it again, and helping each other through grief while showcasing Grayscale’s patented soul-baring alt-rock songwriting that has become so beloved by their undyingly loyal fanbase. The release will be followed by a supporting run on Slowly Slowly’s Forgiving Spree Australian tour (Grayscale’s first-ever AU dates) and on Mayday Parade’s Three Cheers for Twenty Years tour alongside Microwave, which will cover markets across the entire US.

“We stripped it all down to the studs. Back to the same basement we wrote songs in when we were 14,” says the band on The Hart. “We reminded ourselves of why we fell in love with music as kids. The art and the craft of it. The struggle and reward of it. The way we could speak to one another and connect in a room through it without words. We channeled all of the personal pain we were experiencing into that room with the sole purpose of making the most authentic, genuine, and vulnerable art that we could make. Writing about who we are and what we’ve been through.”

Grayscale originated in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and has been actively touring and recording music since 2016. Forming an instant bond as both friends and musicians, they embarked on a musical journey that has defined their lives together. From touring the world and sharing stages with renowned artists like The Band CAMINO, The Maine, Gym Class Heroes, All Time Low, and Smallpools, to releasing albums that encapsulate different chapters of their personal lives, the band continuously seeks growth, both musically and personally. Their sound, influenced by diverse musical backgrounds, reflects a commitment to authenticity and believability. The band has created lifetime connections with their listeners through songwriting that delves into real - life experiences and themes of introspection and personal growth.
